Many of you might surely have heard about this sequel quite some time ago, but I just felt like gossiping a little about it..  so am posting this up. The sequel is going to have a cast different than the first part. Its gonna be Akshay Kumar and Ritesh Dekhmukh (from the first part) along with Rahul Khanna, John Abraham, Asin and Jacqueline Fernandez. I never understand though, apart from having a different theme, if a sequel has different characters, howcum it still counts as a sequel. I mean, a sequel is literally supposed to have the same characters in a different story right? Well I guess anything can happen in bollywood.

Many a rumors have already being flying around concerning this forthcoming movie, but according to the latest one, Rani Mukherjee might be seen performing an item number in the movie. I know, sounds wierd right! Considering the powerful roles that she’s been doing of late, and the awards she’s received for No One Killed Jessica, an item number as the next move would be too long of a jump don’t you think?

Though she has not confirmed anything in the matter as yet, Rani says she’s open to the idea of an item number. Well, i guess after Shiela and Munni, Rani wouldn’t mind trying her hand at item songs! And come to think of it, she can even keep her real name for the song.

Reports further suggest that many Hollywood filmmakers are keen to work with Hrithik and have already started sending feelers to the actor. Since, the actor is busy with the shooting of his films at the moment, such requests are being pushed to a period when he has adequate time to mull over them and think of a possible Hollywood venture.

KITES, is making the right noise for Hrithik Roshan and hopefully this film will help him conquer Hollywood in the same way in which he has conquered the domestic box-office.

Yeah, Judwaa 2 is the current buzz of the circles. And it is heard that the story has been finalised and Salman has also given his consent for the second innings. Director David Dhawan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala in fact had the sequel plans much earlier but Salman wasn’t happy with the script all these days. And now when they have come up with an apt story, the makers decided to take the project ahead. They said to have gone back to the story board repeatedly to ensure Judwaa has very high novelty value, revealed Sajid. “Before making Judwaa 2 we first had to make sure the plot not only went further than the first Judwaa but also goes beyond all the other double-role films that have come lately,” said Sajid.

The producer stated that David is working on giving Salman’s character a special new spin. “We’ll give the two Salmans a very different look and the story moves ten years ahead but Salman is still as boyish as he used to be,” shared Sajid.

Unlike the original Judwaa’s sequel wouldn’t have Karisma Kapoor and Rambha. Instead, Kareena is rumoured to be in the discussions.

Ravi also claims that he will point a finger at current members of the Indian team, accusing them of betting. Though he admits he cannot take names, Ravi says the suggestions in his film will be enough for audiences to know which cricketers he is talking about.

Ravi says that India’s defeat at the hands of minnows Bangladesh in the last World Cup compelled him to explore the angle of match fixing in cricket.

“Being a state-level player myself, I just could not digest the fact that we could loose to Bangladesh after upsetting Australia in just a match before. I have had to edit certain parts as the public would have been heart broken had they found out the entire truth.”

According to the MPA study ‘Internet Piracy Landscape Audit’, the two main internet piracy methods used in India are the file-sharing network ‘bittorrent’ and web-based file hosts ‘cyberlockers’. The report adds that the recent Hindi film Kaminey is estimated to have been downloaded over 3.5 lakh times on bittorrent with around two-thirds of the downloaders located in India.

Speaking to DNA, MPA president & managing director (Asia-Pacific regions) Michael C Ellis said that as a first step, ISPs in India would be persuaded to send notices to those subscribers who are indulging in internet piracy. In some countries, such as the UK, 70% of those who received such notices said they would stop piracy as they knew that they were not anonymous any longer and that they were under watch.The move is part of a graduated response programme that MPA has launched in many countries and plans to initiate in India as well.

After the first notice, if the piracy continues, a second notice would be sent, saying “We know you have done it again”. Consumers will then be directed to some legal download sites or any other paid mechanism. But if the violation continues, “There will be an increased level of sanction”, said Ellis. For instance, there could be disconnection by the concerned ISP for a certain duration. The idea is to escalate the level of sanctions to deter people from internet piracy.

The proposed 3G (third generation) telecom service is expected to increase internet connectivity manifold, and that too may help internet piracy to grow in India. That’s yet another reason for the film industry to start the anti-piracy campaign in the country. “With the right legislation, anti-piracy opportunities will increase,” said Ellis. However, he added that legislation can never keep up with technology.

The three were awarded the doctorates at the institution’s Anna Centenary Special Convocation here. Rehman, who won two Oscars for his score in ‘Slumdog Millionaire,’ was awarded the Doctorate for his “globally and locally reverberating music”.

20th Century Fox and DreamWorks will co produce the project. Novelist Jonathan Tropper (”The Book of Joe”) has written the adaptation for the new version.

It so happened that in the breaks between his shots he went on to chat with the shopkeepers of Delhi’s Connaught Place area, where he was shooting. He candidly asked them which films they were looking forward to watch. To his surprise, everyone one he spoke to named only one film– Love Aaj Kal. Aamir was left smiling. It is not known whether Aamir passed on this message to Saif, but it seems like Love Aaj Kal is a sure fire hit even before its release!
