My Interests
Heres what I’d describe as the stuff that takes up all my time apart from my family, handful of friends and work. More appropriately, these things make me unwind, destress or whatever you may wish to call it… i’d agree if you’d call the list a wierd combination, but then… thats me!!
Books
You could call me a novel freak and i won’t mind… during my school days though i hadn’t developed this passion for reading, for the pure reason that I had too much to read at school, and there were some of my friends who’d have entire libraries full of novels at their homes and I’d think, how do they find the time and will to read something extra?? Well, now I understand!! Because I’ve found the literary world just as fascinating…… so much so that I end up buying at least one fiction novel every month and sometimes even every fortnight… and this has made my bookshelf overburdened with books… i think i need a new one…
Music
What can be better than sitting in the balcony, enjoying the cool monsoon breeze listening to your favorite tunes with your eyes closed….. i just feel like getting lost into a world of my own. Thats exactly what happens when I do so… I get lost….. music is what lifts me up when I’m not feeling my usual self… and I think its one of the best mediums of expressing oneself… sometimes, I feel like I wanna put into words my exact feeling and state of mind, and just when I find any words incapable of doing so, i come across a song that does it for me….. and I’m like…………………….. ghosh.. I gotta get back…
Movies
There was a time when I used to call myself a movie buff….. during those days, my parents would find me sitting in front of the computer day and night downloading ripped movies and making m own collection… but sadly, not any more… my work has deprived me of those sweet moments of doing nothing and of my broadband connection…… so whenever I get a chance now, I rush out of home to catch that late night movie with friends… and of course, when I can’t do that, I enjoy that old downloaded movie from my collection and go through all those feelings I underwent when I first saw it… so…
Tech-Talk
The heading sounds a little kiddish does’nt it… I thought so too… but thats what came to mind at the first instant so I decided to go ahead with it. How long can you stay away from the one thing that intrigues you and also… luckily… is the source of your bread and butter!! I won’t say I looovvveee talking about it but yes, technology related discussions do interest me… and I like to listen and chip-in whenever I can.
Astrology
Okay, now you can call me a phsycic….. pun intended!!!
Yes, I like reading about stars… not that I’m an astrologer or something.. but just a study of peoples’ characteristics as per their birth dates or stars mystifies me….. and I think sometimes it can provide an absolutely true picture of one’s basic nature. Those small habits that are common to people belonging to the same sun-sign which we don’t even notice, can amazingly be brought forth through astrology. It can lead to a better understanding of ourselves as well as others…..
Having a good Laugh
Well, as they say…… “Laughter is the best medicine”, I beleive that!! Theres nothing more refreshing than having a good hearted laugh… sometimes I come across a funny cartoon strip or some witty one-liner or a mail that a colleague forwarded and I can’t help but smile… and that really takes the lid off on a stressful day….. apart from that too, what can be more lovely than a chilled out session with freinds and some coffee….. smiles and laughter all the way
Speaking my mind
I’d rather call that writing my mind… because, it usually is through gestures or writing that I can best express myself… doesn’t mean I don’t talk that much…… if you’re one of my closest buddies or my Mom… I can burden you with a lot of blabbering and trash talk at any time of the day or night…… enough to drive you out of your wits!!! And since I intende to form this sweet long-distance tie with you too… be sure I’ll torment you just as much with my writings…..
