This is what happens when success somehow gets to your head. It takes away your judgement skills which earlier helped you get to where you are now.
At the time of Ishq Vishq, I wasn’t too excited about Shahid Kapur. I mean okay he was this cute kid looking guy with a nice smile and great dancing skills but he still hadn’t managed to strike a chord somewhere. The movie was an instant hit though and became a rage among college goers all over the country, with Shahid becoming the dream guy of almost every teenage girl in India. It was only after Jab We Met, that I actually liked his work and his on-screen presence. And to be honest, I even understood why there was so much “ooo… Shahid”!! Kaminey just made it all the more better.
But.. but.. there always are “But”(s) in any fiction-like real life story, guess this time his choice of movie didn’t work. Hey wait a minute, this is actually the second time. There was also the very very hyped “Dil Bole Haddipa” which went horribly and terribly wrong!!
After watching Chance Pe Dance, the first thought that came to my mind was….. why? what… why..?? what was the point of making this movie? why do people actually spend so much time and effort and money on scripts which are bound to fail right from the time their first print-outs are taken???
The costumes and look of both Shahid and Genelia are good, the scenes of Shahid with the school kids are nice, but apart from that, I could find nothing… not even a single scene that I wanted to or even accidentally recalled after leaving the theatre. Not even the songs are worth listening to on the iPod man!!
I still don’t understand why Shahid and for that matter even Genelia had to spoil their movie profile by choosing to work in this movie. 1 on 5… can’t think of giving it even a 2.
waste of time!!
genelia and shahid look good as a couple.. soo cute!!
