Jaswant Singh’s book “Jinnah: India, Partition, Independence” – that exposed major rifts within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and abruptly ended the senior Indian politician’s 30-year association with the party – has now reached Lahore. The BJP was facing a crisis-like situation as the book hit the shelves in India and the party sacked Jaswant for praising Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The interest in the book has taken booksellers in Pakistan by surprise. It went on sale at a bookshop in Lahore on Wednesday night and more than 10 copies of the book were sold in an hour, an impressive rate for such books, a shopkeeper told Dunya News.
